Three people, one of them a 28-year old Pinay, were arrested for possessing 38 packets of a substance, believed to be shabu weighing about 15.81 grammes, in Manggatal, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, Friday.
City Police Chief ACP M. Chandra said one Malaysian man and his 28-year-old Filipina wife and another 43-year-old Filipino were nabbed in a house in Kg Numbak in the 11.45am raid, reported Daily Express Malaysia.
He said the two men arrested acted aggressively to escape arrest but were detained by the police. These two worked as laborers.
According to local news, during the raid, the Filipina tried to throw away a waist pouch believed belonging to her husband to avoid inspection.
“However, upon inspection, police found a black plastic bag containing 38 plastic packets in various sizes containing the drug substance worth about RM1,500 and seized them,” City Police Chief ACP M. Chandra said.
Chandra said the husband and wife had no police records however, the Filipino male tested positive.
He said the case was being investigated under Section 39A(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Section 15(1)(a) of the same Act.
